AMERICANA FROM THE HEARTLAND

The Stampede String Band is quickly becoming one of Indiana’s most sought after local bands.  Their live performances are driving and honest, with intense vocals, gripping harmonies, and biting instrumentation.
The band itself is an unexpected union of warring musical traditions: hardcore bluegrass and folk rock, heavy metal and old-time brother duets, dirty blues rock and a cappella hymns.  These diverse forces come together to form the perfect storm that is the music of The Stampede String Band.
They’ve got a large and ever-growing fan base that stretches across Indiana and spills  out of the state in all directions.  They pull a great crowd and keep people clapping, dancing, and always buying one more round.  Fans have driven from Noblesville to Nashville to see them, from Plymouth to Broad Ripple, from Cincinnati to Franklin, and from St. Louis to Muncie.  One dude even road his bicycle from Richmond to Muncie just to catch a show.
Take a look at the tour schedule to see where they’re playing next.  It’s gonna be one hell of a storm.

  1. We so enjoyed your performance last week in Forest Park for Hamilton County’s official Indiana bicentennial celebration. The people loved you! It’s easy to see why you play so much around Central Indiana . You guys are great performers! Love your music!

  2. Saw your group for the first time in So. Bend when we went into a small pub for dinner. We really enjoyed your music and bought a CD. Will try to see a show again.
